#Gadgees on Tour
The concert house is almost 200 years old; and is claimed to be among the top 10 acoustic halls in the world. This gadgee on tour can vouch for that; the sound was simply superb. Angelique Kidjo was amazing. She played non stop (without support) for almost 2 hours and then gave two encores lasting 20 minutes. For 56, she has so much energy - dancing and singing almost non stop; mostly her own African based material; with the fantastic beat encouraging the audience to dance - which they did continuously. The range and power of her voice is amazing; this gadgee has never heard anyone like her - unique! She controls her vocals in beautiful tones; and then can belt out a chorus powerfully. Her belief in the power of women to change the world is infectious; and her UN role as a champion of female rights is personal as she supports female education in Africa; and women's rights everywhere. She is a truly inspiring woman of the world; and a definite world class artist.
